I know one thing. A lot of people will have egg on their faces this year. Either Alex plays like he usually does or he shapes up and plays good, consistent football.

We'll see.

The coaching was awful they watched too much film instead of coaching. They used every excuse to prevent being creative on offense, blaming a "rat" as the reason why the offense sucked.

The guy said other QBs have 8-12 seconds to throw the ball. Trust him..he's seen it.

COACHING without a doubt. Singletary was stubborn and Jimmy Raye was too predictable. If I being just a fan knew what play we were going to run next, I know the opposing team had to know. It was just horrible. When you lose so many close games like we have for the past two years........IT'S BAD COACHING.

when you walk on the field intending to be an aggressive power running team, and then panic and resort to a "spread offense" because your "boring run-run-pass-punt offense" cant get the job done , and then forced to play catch up the remainder of the game....that seemed to be the jam the coaching staff would get us into quiet a bit

Harbaugh is just doing what he needs to, not because Alex IS an all pro talent in waiting. So in order to cover his a$$, he is kissing Alex's for now. That is because of the lockout the ability to get someone else and train them properly has put a crimp in his plan A. So to cover his butt, he has to go with plan B and that is use Alex to fill in till a QB can be had and made ready since the cupboard is bare, whether that be CK in the future, or a trade or FA signing for the future. Alex has a jump on any FA signed for this year because at least he is familiar with most of the players and JH can protect him with better schemes. However he is a stop gap measure.

I forgot what writter wrote this in an interview recently, but JH in a nutshell said the job is up for grabs and he'll see what people can really do when they start TC.
So if your assess of Alex is he is my best option for this year because of the lockout then yeah. If you think JH thinks Alex is an all pro talent-no

Shown himself to be Pro Bowl caliber? You must be from a prallel universe? I don't disagree he is a classy guy, but winner? Then why haven't we made the playoffs? If you say that it is everyone elses fault but his, then you are kidding your self. Are you being game selective about the 80+ rating, cause it sure don't see that we throughout the whole season when he played. Yes coaching was bad, but he also missed on oppertunities.

Harbaugh will keep him from playing beyond his abilities and he will look better, but it will be because of Harbaugh and not because he is good. Example Virgil Carter and Bill Walsh.

I don't know about everyone else, but I am not looking for that kind of pairing, I am looking for a Montana Walsh or Holmgren Farve or Elway Shanahan combo.
