Same folks who were calling for Crabtree's head last week are sure quiet now....hmmmmm

The double standard is hilarious.

Vernon Davis already broke out and has played with Alex Smith a lot longer.

Crabtree has never played in a preseason game and is entering the crucial 3rd season as a receiver.

He NEEDS to be there. Vernon will be there in time.
The problem with Vernon has never been his work ethic as with Crabtree. Davis has tweeted numerous times that he's been studying the playbook and working out. Also, Davis doesn't have the chemistry issues with A. Smith that Crabtree has.

Good points! If players can work out problems, such as a lack of chemistry, they need to put in the time together. More importantly, they need to understand this need. If Crabtree believes he can just show up at the last minute and be ready, he is mistaken. If Smith is going to be the QB next year then they have some work to do together.

I would like to see the whole team there but the skill postitions are most in need of being in sync. It won't matter as much if there is a preseason...so won't start worrying until fall.
VD work habbit has never been in question, He's built like willis but he plays tightend lol Crabtree's has actually by davis.

Has Crabtree's?

after the past 3 years this question has been answered
Hello, we have a new offense this year. Besides Vernon needs to develop some kind of chemistry with CK not just with Alex.

Complete nonsense. He held out one offseason and was injured the next. You really think Crabs got this far without hard work? Give your head a shake. He has never been called out by a coach or player about his work ethic.

Cut Vernon now!!! No work ethic, no desire, no team spirit.

Only 39 new threads left until we rid ourselves of all the "evil" players on our team that has not shown up for practice.

He's already shown he's a leader on this team. He'll get there and not miss a beat. Crabtree hasn't been able to play at a pro bowl level in any offense. I'm quite confident Vernon Davis can transition quite well to Harbaugh's offense.

And the funny thing is Sing was quotes as saying this:

"I think Crabtree continues to really carry himself well," Singletary said. "He works his tail off and is getting the work done that he needs to get done. So, I think Michael Crabtree has had a good OTA, a good minicamp."

Quote:
Mike Singletary had to break up, then moderate Davis’ loud, animated spat with Crabtree during Wednesday’s 49ers walk-through.

And while Singletary wouldn’t reveal what initiated the argument, there clearly is a team-wide frustration over Crabtree’s nearly invisible practice and exhibition-game presence.

Davis, too, has missed some time this summer, due to a minor injury, but he takes his work and his leadership role rabidly.

“(Davis is) one of the captains,” Singletary said. “He did the right thing but he did it the wrong way….
