49ers likely to be fined for Harbaugh's workouts with Alex Smith

It was probably worth doing even though there was a fine.
You may not like it, not being a homer, I said that the niners might get in trouble when it first came up. Now before you blame the leaque, you might want to consider the reason, others resposible-like the now decertified union of the players.

The intent was to allow players to rest once the season had completed and not force them to come in and be blackballed if they don't. It is like you not doing something at work that is wrong and being blackballed. Now if the players want to come in on their own, then they can. The reason no staff can get involved, is obvious. You have to make things black and white. This is not a niner issue, but all teams.
has any niner EVER cost the team as much money as Alex Smith has? Good thing he's worth every penny.

Hopefully on Goodell. I am so tired of this guy. He's quickly making Baseballs Commissioner look like a good guy.

By the time he is done, NFL Football will resemble flag football with a don't touch rule.
Blame the greedy ass owners for there being a lockout in the first place. We the fans, are what drives the revenues in the NFL. Without us, nobody makes any money.
Yet we're the bystanders without a voice in this stupidity.

is still hurting the team even when he's not playing.

He's the gift that keeps on giving.
Would gladly pay it to ensure these two got to know each other.
Article says it's going to be a slap on the wrist and 4 other teams got fined too.

People need to stop overreacting. Olkid hit it on the head. Pay the fine, Harbaugh had to see what he was working with in Alex.

True. This is pretty bad timing for a team like the 49ers to not be able to talk to players. If I was an owner I'd pay a little extra to ensure we were not further behind the eight ball than other teams in our division during the offseason.

Which is why I hope this story gets bigger attention, cause then we'll be forced by our PR department to disassociate with a*****e Smith for-ev-er.
