Why is Evans on the list, was he even highly rated in the first place?
Phillip Adams... totally over-rated!

If you are basing what they did in 2010 based on 2009 performance, someone is missing from your list. Even me who doesn't like a guy who has played for us 6 years and wears 33 divided by 3 and has another person at the same position that shares his last name, thought he might have a good 2010 and lead us to a winning record. he did not so I call him overrated.
None of these guys were highly rated in 2010.
For me it is Dashon Goldson. After the 09 season there was talk that he was looking for top saftey type money, then his play slipped dramaticly in 2010.

He missed WAY too many routine tackles and he was routinely ineffective on blitzes as he tried to decapitate the QB instead of soundly sacking them. And this is without mentioning his lack of playing making ability at a crucial position and his porous pass defense.

That was my vote.

Clements. Burned on double-moves, makes INTs then fumbles them, etc. That's not what an "elite" CB would allow. Our whole secondary was our weakness in pass D. I almost mentioned Goldson because he had the hype and wanted big $$$$, but didn't get it. Clements was an overpaid FA that was brought in to make a difference and at first he did make an impact. But this season, he regressed and doesn't deserve even a pay reduction, just release him...and offer his money to NA from across the bay.

While Nate Clements did suck, he wasn't "over-rated." Most people were already down on him coming into the season. He was rated poorly and he played poorly. That's not over-rated.

Dashon Goldson, however, was over-rated. He had a decent season in 2009 and that led to some hype in 2010, which he failed to deliver. Haralson was a disappointment as well, but I didn't expect much from him to begin with. All the other guys played as I thought they would.

Nate Clements is the best player in our secondary. I'm surprised to see that Shawntae Spencer is not on this list. He was IMO single-handedly (excluding David Carr because hes a backup) responsible for the loss to the Panthers. Also he was repeatedly torched in the secondary whereas Clements was in perfect position on many plays. Unluckily for him so were the quarterbacks and receivers (perfect timing is nearly impossible to defend). Is it Clements fault that Greg Jennings and Aaron Rodgers have near perfect timing? Is it Clements fault that Vincent Jackson is 6'5'' and has a 39 inch vertical jump? Shawntae can't cover David Gettis and no one notices? I do not hate Shawntae by any means i actually think hes a solid # 2 but by this board i believe he is the most overrated player by far.
