Who was our best Free Agent signing of the decade (2000-2010)

I voted for Cowboy, but a couple of people mentioned Tony Parrish. I was curious as to why he would rank above someone like Spikes. Is it length of service, or outstanding play, or maybe a single dramatic play that I don't recall?

Not disagreeing with you, just curious as to the reasons behind the praise.
Tony Parrish was GREAT for a couple of those years and good for the others. One year I think he had 9 picks or something, while he had a broken hand for an extended period of time. He was a baller.

He was signed in 1999.
There have been some pretty good pick ups, and although I voted for Larry Allen (on account of Gore's MONSTER season in 2006), the best value pickups were Joe Nedney and Walt Harris.

doh
Really tough choice between Nedney, J. Smith and Spikes.

Nedney - We needed a reliable kicker for a looong time...and finally landed one.

J. Smith - Best DL we've had since BY retired.

Spikes - 2nd best LB to Willis.

I can't vote, it's too close and can make a case for any of these three.

Smith by a mile
ok the real vote I posted was for Justin Smith he makes our D-line strong even though we don't have a pass rusher he's very effective and he still carries that line.

Tony Parrish was good while he was here too, he was a better and more consistent Nate Clements, he'd intercept passes and at the same time turn a person inside out.
I know Justin Smith is great, but we gave him a lot of money, not overpaying hime though

I would go with players who came from no where but become a star. They are Walt Harris and Aubayo Franklin. Their initial contract signed was definitely way underpaid based on their performance with the Niners.

Tie between J.Smith and T.Spikes...
but I have to give it to SPIKKES because of TKO TV
I don't know how it hasn't been nominated for an Emmy.

Joe Nedney
Pure quality...Smith and it isn't even close.

Quality mixed with value...a toss up between TKO, W. Harris, and Parrish.
"The Cowboy" but Takeo is a close 2nd.
