Not sure why he'd get a pass. He deserves criticism for hiring Mike Singletary, one that set this franchise back at least a few years.

Jed Prince of York.

~ Hired Dingletary full time.
~ Kept Dingletary long after he shouldn't have.
~ Was all for 6 years Alex Smith.
~ Never explained the Scot M. situation and why we didn't have any GM in a disastrous season.
~ Plays with his water bottle like a nervous kid at a press conference.
~ Acts like the Petulant Child he is when Lowell Cohn calls him on the carpet with tough questions.

This is who you have faith in.

Troll.

No. This is who you guys have faith in. There is nothing there but empty talk. History has shown the wrong decisions are made by Jed York almost all the time.

sandiego you are the definition of insanity, complaining about the yorks all day everyday. ill never understand it, they are the owners and that will not change. there are some great owners like kraft you can root for ... just change teams or something bro.

If they do the right thing and hire Harbaugh I will be at least happy with the Head Coach hire... Other aspects of the organization we will see.

You guys act like we won the Super Bowl.

~ We are 5 - 10 in a year everbody said we have the best NFC West talent.
~ We have no GM.
~ We have no permanent HC.
~ Our Coordinators are real shaky.
~ We have a disaster QB situation.
~ Our Secondary is terrible.
~ Our O line has issues.
~ Our pass rush is very inconsistent.

It takes more than 1 press confernce with a kid fumbling around with his water bottle nervously to make me believe all of those are suddenly fixed...

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP)—San Francisco team president and CEO Jed York is turning to his uncle, former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr., for advice on how to fix the underachieving franchise.

DeBartolo will serve as a consultant in the process of finding a general manager, and York also plans to talk to Patriots president Jonathan Kraft about what works so well for New England. Only after a GM is in place will a new coach be hired, and there’s no timetable. Jim Tomsula will coach the 49ers for all of a week, and his bosses have said they expect him to win.

The promoted defensive line coach took charge of the downtrodden team Monday, a day after the 49ers fired Mike Singletary late Sunday upon returning to team headquarters following a 25-17 loss at St. Louis that eliminated San Francisco from playoff contention. Also fired were pass rush specialist coach Al Harris(notes) and inside linebackers coach Vantz Singletary, the former coach’s nephew.

This is a start and with the water bottle who gives a sh!t about it. The kid wanted a drink kinda hard when you are getting asked questions.

Harbaugh is a sexy pick for this team and I would be happy if we got him but that does not mean he is going to be any good. Just like Jed you have to give it time and see what you end up with.

The water bottle fumbling was a nervous reaction to the tough line of questioning of Lowell Cohn...

By all mean he gets no free pass, but he is a kid and it sounds like he knows that he smurfed up. There has already been some changes.

It's not like this kid is the TUNA that has been doing it for 40 years, he is really young and learning.

Singletary seemed to be on the right track after the 5-4
Have to agree with this
if you recall correctly most of the Analyst includin Mooch and Gruden expected Alex to be good
Have you thought taht the ScottM situation was a mutual agreement betewwen Scott M and Jed? If I recall Correctly neither has Scott M explained what happend.
WTF?
WTF??

Rememebr people bashed Eddide D when he did not fire Walsh in year two. Eddie was also too young an too inxepereinced.

if, and thats a big IF Jed keeps his word how this whole situation will be handled we could see a dramatic change.

God thing is that he considers Eddie D his mentor.

All I know is that today Jed York was asked if he was quailifed to make this hire, and he replied "yes". You can take his word for it, or you can look at the history of decisions he and his parents made over the last decade. His parents are still very much influential in the decision making process, and over the years they have ruined this franchise.

If you judge Jed York post December 2008 when he was hired as Team President, then you can say he's only made one huge mistake in hiring Mike Singletary. People keep saying he's smart and he loves the history and tradition of the 49ers. Well, there are probably a thousand webzoners that fit this criteria. Youth and inexperience should not be cited as an excuse for the poor decisions made regarding football operations.

If your qualification for making a GM hire is, "I talk to my uncle Eddie and the Krafts," then holy sh*t we are in trouble. All we can do is pray that this guy gets real lucky and makes a perfect hire. At least he has enough sense to know how to get out of the way, once the coaching staff is in place. What's worse than a clueless, inexperienced owner? An owner that meddles.

at the time most people thought Singletary was the right guy. You act like Singletary wasn't already a HC candidate for other teams. If you remember he was interviewed by a few teams. You are calling him out on Singletary because you know the outcome instead of remembering what the scenario was. hindsight is always 20/20.

I presume that he has learned a thing or two in these two years.

I personally considered Singletray a good choice, he turned teh Mike Nolan mess arround in teh last 9 games and we started sstrong the next year.

Yet a thing or two annoyed me and I really thought that he learned a thing or two, which he did not.

All part of the YORK FAMILY TRUST. You can rotate different YORKS in front of the camera to face the media. Rotate them in and out. But it's still the YORK FAMILY TRUST just the same.

Does it matter if it's John, Jed, Jeb, Juber, Judas, Judy or whatever?... It's YORK FAMILY TRUST. And it's a culture of wrong decisions and FAIL.

Look at only Jedster.

~ Hired Dingletary.
~ Retained Dingletary well beyond his time.
~ Fully supported 6 years Alex Smith. Said how important Alex was to us.
~ Has been saying for as long as the media will listen to him "he talks to his uncle a lot." It's not the first time he said that you know...
