I think Gruden likes mentoring young QB's and that he will be looking for a team at the top of the draft so he can snatch up a QB protege.

Gruden most likely will not be coming to the 49ers. He has already said he will not join an organization that does not have an established GM in place. I can't remember where I read this but he said this earlier this year. So let's be realistic instead of dreaming about him.

Gruden likes older qbs I don't see him drafting one early. Gruden success was with guys like Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson. I think Chris Sims has a better shot of being a 49er then Alex smith if Gruden gets hired.
