Smith should not be allowed back on the field even if Troy doesn't play good.
Use the rest of the season to evaluate Nate Davis and Troy. No point in playing Smith because he is not part of the future.

If the product on the field improves because of T. Smith, he should start the rest of the season.
If the product on the field gets worse because of T. Smith, A. Smith should resume as starter when he is healthy.

RT @NinerNation07: Say Niners lose next two games ... why bring Alex back after 3 weeks? >> If he's healthy, to see if they want him in '11.

If we win 4 in a row and Troy is playing well, then we should keep him in there.

If the Niners win 2 games out of the next four, they should keep in whatever qb got the two wins. Plain and simple.

What more do we have to see? Coaches, QB's are judged by Wins and Losses. Singletary and Smith don't have enough wins to keep bringing them back. Cut ties and move on.

I put no. I think if Troy wins post good numbers (like a positive td to int ratio and +50% wins) then we should stick it out the rest of the year with him.
the reason I say 50% although we have not gotten that with smith is we all know the schedule lightened up at the end of the year and the begining was brutal

No kidding, how many second chances does it take before we're really, really, really, sure that Smith isn't part of the franchise's future?

This, but if Troy and his trolley can't do it, I shall want to see Nate perform. Let us at least find out what, if anything, we have

The Squish-ee, not the Squisher.
