At 1-6 and no starting QB how do you approach final 9 games?

As a team they still hyave to do everything they can to get to .500 period. i dont care that Sing may not make it to the bye. They still need to earn that paycheck. The players owe that to us fans. There is nothing worse then in week 7 you give the season up as a player. Sorry i dont want to be a fan of that player. They still had the Job to execute and Most of them did not.

Ive had it for the last 10yrs! No Jerseys bought, They already lost me for the 1 game i was going to attend this yr.
i want to see what we have in Nate Davis to tell the truth. Could care less about Carr. Why we get rid of hill for another noodle arm?Carr has the denver game to prove me otherwise.

We need to dust off Nate Davis and let him air it out. We may not win more games, but at least they'll be more exciting. His arm and mobility will really open things up for us, even if he can't read coverage well.

This is an easy one, and it should have been done last yr, except we were too close to breaking .500 for numb nutz to try it. Here goes:

Take every player on the team, and make sure each and every one of them plus the practice squad gets into games and gets serious playing time. Take a long hard look at the guys who would not get to play, and work them all out on Sun afternoon. And work them until you have proven they belong here or don't . This team has been terrible about this in all these losing yrs, when the coach knew he was toast and continued, unsuccessfully trying to win a game or two to get to 6 or 7 wins. Now is the time to try out every player on the squad and if he is a train wreck, then back to PS or schidt can him. This is a very valuable thing to be able to do when the ship is listing about 45 degrees, and is the perfect time if we have a corner, a passrusher, a ball carrier(we do in AD), and he should be getting PT, not frank. QB is screwed and were i in alex's shoes, i would sit out rest of yr. Why get killed behind the matador line, whose first reflex on getting beat is to spin and say.,
"look out". Nope, every week, i would run guys in and out, find one or two who are surprises, and consider that a positive. There is nothing else positive about this yr ,except that BM is gone...hopefully right after the london game, when he goes to get on the plane, they tell him his ticket has been cancelled. Perfect end , no?

This proves the point. Our best shot at a great quarterback, is by playing Nate Davis for the rest of the season. Nate Davis is a boom or bust type, no mediocrity with this guy.
Therefore, if Nate Davis goes "boom" into a great player, we have found our quarterback and we won't be able to draft Luck.
If Nate Davis goes bust, then we will end up with one of the top picks in the draft and a shot at Luck.

Watching Carr struggle to win a game or two is hardly an exciting or productive way to finish out a lost season.

Lose them all is the best bet. And I don't think they will have trouble doing it.

Unfortunately, this will be the case BG. Have you not seen our coach? The same one that implemented the EXACT same gameplan 5 losses in a row? The guy that was STILL starting Chilo Rachal? Remember that Eric Heitmann guy? Shouldn't he be back by now?? Shouldn't that playmaker Ted Ginn be hitting the field more? Shouldn't that electric scat back and one of the all-time great catch-and-run-out-of-the-backfield play more? Don't we have a pretty nifty strong rookie that could really use experience and could be a great addition if given the ball? The list goes ON and ON and ON. Singletary doesn't know talent if it slapped a dick into his mouth.

Once the season is lost (or begins to look hopeless), the CONCENTRATION and DETERMINATION begins to waver.

Only the dedicated ones and the ones who fear losing their jobs will keep on playing as hard as they can.

No amount of ranting and raving is gonna work.

Who wants to get hurt on a useless cause?

Now, if you can start docking their pay ... that may be a motivational force!

I'd wait until season's end (the "real" season's end) and there will be coaches available. In the meanwhile put Rathman in as "interim" HC. SINGLETARY PLEASE READ:

First, place A. Smith on Inj. Resv. and release at end of season. I was truely an Alex Smith supporter, but can not/will not accept his poor descision making, indecievness, and overall lack of Leadership any longer!

Second, CUT Carr! He is an older A. Smith to the mold! No room for that.

Third, Elevate Troy Smith to starting QB and give him #11. (Thats purely for my twisted sense of humor, especially when people start to say "I thought Smith was White?"...HAHA)

Finally, Bump Nate Davis to second string to truley get him into game planning and prep for the upcoming games.

Overall, these changes would serve several purposes. Aside from getting rid of the "Elephant in the room"...haha...and his older brother, The moves would allow some sort of change up to allow a spark. T. Smith was and possibly still is a very good and capable QB (hence His Heisman Trophy!). We may not win the division, but he might be able t get enough continuity with the offense to where we can win a few a spoil other teams chances. As i said before it would also allow Davis to truley prepare for each game as if he might start. I like Davis alot, but i am one who believes in sitting the new guy (i know he's been on the team for a bit) versus them starting right away, look at Rodgers. Last but not least, of course draft an EARLY ROUND TRUE FUTURE STARTER! No more of these camp "no-bodies" and late round "Diamonds in the Rough" because they have some raw talent or untapped potential. Just a guy that everybody KNOWS is going to be a good NFL QB. I do believe theres like 3-5 of them in this years draft, and like Davis he should have ample time to grow.
