What has Gore done all season to help us? Fumbles & 2 yds per? RB's age quickly especially when toting the ball 300+ times a yr. Where is Westbrook & Dixon to spell Gore? I'm done accepting that Smith is THE problem with this team. Johnson is on the right path w/ play calling but I think it's already time to say the infamous phrase.. "Next year" AGAIN!!!!

BULLSH*T. There's a whole thread dedicated to blaming Gore for the loss.

Smith sucks, end of story. We all want to see him benched. He gives you just enough hope and then screw you in the end.

Smith is the equivalent of going to a strip club. He does just enough to get you worked up, but never enough to finish the job (unless you go to some raunchy strip clubs). I was hoping he would be pulled from the beginning of the game. You can only blame everyone else for so long...

I have never heard a QB booed so savagely in my entire life, and for Alex to do what he did after that, I don't know if any QB in the league could have done so.

He's got resilliance and determination. He is an A+ character guy, and that is why people have stuck with him for so long. But having said that, you can't make stupid turnovers and be a good QB in this league, and Alex has too many Steve DeBerg moments where he just makes the horrible play to take the wind out of our sails. He will be a very good backup for some other team. If he went to a very solid team, he might be OK. But the Niners are a poorly coached, mistake prone team. I fully expect both he and Singletary to be gone next year.

Up until the Smith fumble (which was totally a rookie mistake) Smith actually played well. I would say the Ginn ball... not sure if it was a great pass but Ginn Jr. should have at least played DB. He lost the ball. Anyways, based off one bad play not sure if Smith deserved to be booed but I am glad it happened. I had wished it would have been a turning point in Alex Smith's career and our season. I am glad all that happened. Alex is realizing that could have literally been his last play ever starting (for any team for that matter). Singletary said he wanted a QB who had fire and said something is wrong if they just say fine bench me. I assume Alex barked back and said I can do it. It was great to see but unfortunately, Anthony Davis getting beat and his man hitting Alex as he threw ended the game. There was a WR wide open and I think that's where he was going. If that didn't happen I bet we win the game or at least tie it and go into OT and win it. Also, again how many times did we have bad luck... a few players before the last INT if Gore gets that screen there was nothing but open field for 40 yards. The ball has bounced against us all season long.

Actually, the play that I think that you are referring to where VD did not turn around was a called screen pass of which it would not matter if the defensive player blitzed or not. But, Alex is terrible my friend. He holds one the ball too long; makes bad deicsions which leads to bad throws and is weak minded. I think that he is a great kid, just a terrile QB.

There were about 10 plays where Alex made the RIGHT read and got it out QUICKLY on a blitz. Weak minded? For him to come back out after the entire stadium booed him, and preached for carr, and scor 2 TD's in back-to-back possessions, he's weak minded? Alex had a good game imo. He threw the ball vertically, which got picked off. UN fortunately Ginn was not able to make a play, but I lived with that. At least it was a DEEP throw vertically down field, and not some tipped/short/ check-down pass. The only bad decision, bad play was the fumble. Period.

That was the most useful motivation Sing has had all season. Too bad it came way too late.

I have a feeling Sing was gonna throw the hook on Smith but Smith got pissed and started yelling at Sing(this we DID see) and told him that he could still play.

Now this I believe. The boobirds were out in full force like Smith crapped on somebodies kid at the 50 and the game was his fault when it wasn't. I think Smith finally stuck up for himself. If our Defense could stop a gang of school kids from scoring on their baby sister Alex would not be in the position of having to comeback from even a 7 point deficit. But that sh!t is lost on the "Faithful".

He gave up 7. The Defense gave up 14. Why are we pissed at Smith today? Oh I forgot when you're drafted 1st overall you have to be Montana and Young all rolled into one and have to keep the Opposing Offense from scoring too.

I'm missing the greatness here as I think that both Gore and Smith need to be on the sideline. And since when havs QBs been given props for only giving up 7 points while throwing multiple interceptions in a game; AGAIN and losing AGAIN? Alex makes so many bad decisions that it is rediculous to even try to defend his play. Him being drafted #1 several years ago should be irrelevant; but apparently it is not because that is the only reason why can think of to explain why he is even a starting NFL QB. I don't think that Alex is a bad person; just not a good QB.

At least Alex is entertaining in his losses. Carr would NOT survive with our offensive line. How that could be any more apparent is beyond me.

The defense sucked and Frank turned the ball over twice, but Alex made basically one horrific play, so let's just blame him. During the first half, it was Gore up the middle on first down, Gore usually up the middle on second down, and Alex bailing us out on third and long, which he usually did. He dealt with a stiff rush and several stupid penalties by his O line. If I were Alex, I would be looking forward to moving on next year to a team where the head coach was not a Neanderthal and the the play calling was totally lacking in imagination.

Some of you guys act like the crowd was booing Alex just for today's game. People, that boo-fest was 5+ years in the making! That was pent up frustration directed at the QB of a 0-5 team that came into the game with 7 ints in 4 games.
