there are like 8 of these threads.

But -- We're not imploding about the game itself and I still think we make the playoffs. It is the fact that the same STUPID mistakes are being made yet again this season from top to bottom, on the field, on the sideline, and in the booth. That is very worrisome.

It's troubling, cause we have all seen games like this in the last 6 years. Nothing has improved.

I understand we are only 0-1 but...we're making the same mistakes as last year and the years before. Taking timeouts, running the clock down, not deciding what to do on 4th down, throwing high, dropping catches, etc.

It just felt like we didn't improve from last year, which is why many are frustrated. Also, look at the post game stuff. Alex is blaming coaches, coaches are blaming players, and it just doesn't look right. I'm usually an optimistic guy, but it reminded me of the first game Singletary coached 2 years ago.

It was more than just a loss, or players and coaches wouldn't have called a mandatory meeting after their flight back from Seattle hours after 1st game of the season.

I know a lot of the same problems as last season reared their ugly heads but we have to give it more than a week. People should calm down... I am as big of a die hard as any body but over the years I have learned to not overreact as much.

Wonder if Tampa Bay or Seattle fans are making plans for Super Bowl 45? Any Texans fans out there comparing Arian Foster to Walter Payton? You think the Colts fans are giving up on the season after starting 0-1 for the first time in forever?

No matter how you look at it that loss was a team effort. LACK OF EFFORT, I mean.

So let's just run it up the middle. If it doesn't work let's just keep doing till we get lucky, but let's not Gore run a toss or a counter cause we aren't capable to even bother trying and let's dump it to gore and our TE in flats every Time we throw! (aka that's a cheese game plan in madden) and when it's 4th and 1 on the f**kin goal line let's not give it to one of our best players naaaa never our best players but to the f**kin FB that can't even catch!!! Jimmy Ray has hit the snooze button way too many time now !!

if we come out like this against the super bowl champion Saints, you're in for one giant laugh fest

We know, but here's the reason its so worrisome:

First five games are @Seahawks, Saints, @Chiefs, @Falcons and Eagles. That is a BRUTAL first five games, and losing the most winnable of the bunch so badly to start it off could very well kill the season. At this point, if we come out of this stretch 1-4 we should consider ourselves lucky. The Chiefs aren't very good, but that's at Arrowhead, so even that game will be tough.

How many teams make the playoffs after starting 1-4? 0-5?

Sorry, but losing this game is HUGE unless the team bounces back and fast.

we won't be favored in any of those games unless KC somehow manages to get destroyed worse than we did

Absolutely right. They don't learn. They make the same mistakes year in and year out. Bad passes, dropped balls, running wrong routes, stupid penalties, poor game management. Taking too long to get plays called in. Wasting timeouts. This is okay in the intramural flag football league you might have played in school(drunk), but it has got to stop.
