Clearly this is not about the loss, but how we lost. If we had played well and lost a close game I'd be more receptive to the "It's just one game" spin.
What makes it bigger than just one game is the groundhog day-like deficiencies. Brain-dead clock management, innaccurate passing, dropped passes, 3rd down conversions, no pass rush . . . blah, blah, blah . . . at this point continuity looks overrated.
In the context of the hype leading into today, this is one of the most disappointing Niner openers I can remember.
