it gets tiring reading threads like this. What I see is a personal matter with Scottie and Jed doesn't want to air the dirty laundry. Unfortunately it happened so close to the draft. Actually it seemed to have happened a few weeks ago and management seemed to have taken their time to do the right thing which could be a good thing. I'm sure you would have b***hed if they handled it too quickly.
I see your posts a lot and you are never happy. I don't think you have been happy with Scott "McClueless" or the Yorks. When they get rid of "McCluess" you b***h but yet you were never happy with him. Nobody is happy with the Yorks but Jed does seem like he's trying but I'm sure you would make a better team president.
They timed it terribly. 5 weeks before the draft...They could have gotten Holmgren. Instead we have no GM.
Yes we could do better than Jed York as President. I'm starting to think even John York would be better to have back again...
Oh ya, that GRRRREEEAAAATTTT GM Mike Holmgren. Cause' that is what we needed. And how the F do you know they "timed it" at all?

What is wrong with Mike Holmgren? No smart ass answer or biased answer please. I truly don't understand why people don't like him.

How the public and fans view the comments of Jed York.
1) "Does anyone else find this press conference (to say nothing of the whole process) bizarre? How do you go from giving the keys to the kingdom to McCloughan to having it be in both parties' "best interest" to part just a few weeks before the draft? This organization is Dysfunctional (with a capital D)."
2) "If Jed York had any integrity he would get out of the football business. Jed is an absolute joke and his team is a laughingstock. If there was any hint that mccloughlin wasnt up to the job a couple months ago, the niners should have jumped on bruce allen or holmgren.
As the warrior situation shows, fans and the lack of money can force ownership moves. It is time for a real talk about boycotting this sorry organization, and its an especially good time when they decide to RAISE ticket prices by 10% after a non-playoff year.
Boycott this team, stop spending any more money on this inept family."
3) "I wonder if Larry Ellison's possible purchase of the Warriors means he won't also be in the market for the 49ers one day.
After a decade of York ownership, here we are again with what has become business as usual: Ongoing integrity problems, instability, and a putrid team on the field."

I never said I don't like him. Just that it's pointless to whine about not getting him as GM. The reason not to give a damn that he isn't our GM is a.) he was regarded as a total failure as GM in Seattle, and b.) (this one is mainly my issue) we don't need a 60-something year old GM.
BTW he's not even the GM in Cleavland, he's the team president and they hired a new GM to run the personnel side of the business.

They guy turned 2 franchises into perennial winners who, coincidentally, were always kicking our ass. Just look at his track record:
Mike Holmgren - Wiki
I agree that his GM stint in Seattle wasn't the best, but he had way too much on his plate by trying to do multiple jobs.
He loves San Francisco and has very strong ties to this team so I personally think it would have been a great risk to take and let him take over at whatever capacity he wanted to this year.
As to the age remark. Who cares as long as he still knows how to win? Experience weighs much higher than innovation IMO (if that's why you would justify with youth). The game is not evolving into something these guys haven't seen before or at a rate in at which they couldn't adapt to.
We will see how much of an impact Holmgren truly has on the teams he is on if he turns the Browns around. I expect him to be 3 for 3 after he is done with them.

Yah ownership sucks but whats the point about complaining about it. Its not like we can make them sell the team. If we still go and watch game and watch tv then there is no point about complaining about ownership.
Coaches, GMs, players are something that can be replaced. Replacing ownership is not easy and usually only occurs every few decades if it all.
