Rating 49er’s Past GM’s, and possible next GM

It’s bad timing, but after the draft, there will be many good GM candidates available. Here are ten mostly younger candidates ‘on the rise’:

Doug Whaley: Pro personnel coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mark Dominik: Tampa Bay director of pro personnel
Brian Gaine: Assistant director of player personnel for the Miami Dolphins.
Scott Studwell: Director of college scouting for the Minnesota Vikings.
Steve Keim: AZ Cardinals player personnel director
Eric DeCosta: Ravens personnel man
John Schneider: Green Bay Packers football operations director
John Dorsey: Director of college scouting for the Green Bay Packers.
Ron Hughes: College scouting coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
