enough is enough. this has happened already in other games, where alex comes back late in the games and people think its a good thing. How the heck!!!! i totally agree with you. he has to do it all the time. he is inconsistent and only play good when he is not under pressure to win the game or the game is not on the line.

wtf?? are u not reading the thread? are u not watching the 49er games and following it on nfl.com?

Smith is ready to lead THIS team, and he is ready for the play calls to be called around him, our weapons, and our stregnths. Alex HAS been playing good, ESECIALLY when the game is on the line and under pressure.. But his first 10 pass attempts that are called the last 5 years are SOOO conservative, and give him no chance to succeed and show how effective he is.
Sing is out of his element here, we need someone who can use our Offence like a Porsche car insted of Driving it like pickup truck

He said that? really? in disgust, or like he was proud of it?

Let's face it, Singletary is not getting fired! What needs to happen is that he needs to surround himself with some smarter assistants. He is not getting the best information from his coaching staff to make these obvious decisions. It's Raye that is telling Mike that it would be stupid to drastically change our offensive scheme just because it works so well. It is Manusky that is telling Mike that we it is better to play 15 yards off the receiver or blitz the qb because we don't want to give up a big play. It is about time we spend money on getting very experienced and very sucessful coordinators or we will find ourselves with a 7-9 record for a long time!

I feel the same way. It's such a deflating feeling.

Its SooOOo FRUSTRATING that even Billick, along with all of US see that the offense of philosiphy needs to change. Atleats right now, because we have no oline up front, Gore cant run behind a line that cant block and a defense that stacks the box with 8 men, although Gore is talented enough to bust one game in game out behind the s**tty oline. We've been succesful as a team, Smith, Davis, Crabtree, and scoring points out of the gun!!.. We almost made a comeback @ Hou with it, then we go away from it to start out games, and dig our selfs in a hole. I put the Hou, Indy, and now this GB game on Singletary and Raye for their inability to realize what we have, and not stick to it. Therefore we are 4-6, and very well could be 7-3..

Oh yeah, and you Smith bashers do NOT make sense. Its BS the things you guys say.. 3-7 5yds to start the half, not impressive numbers, but the play calls were designed to throw short, and GB was ALL OVER IT. Smith was good and has improved alot this season when we open it up down the field, and he proved that today making tight, accurate throws and again gave us a chance at the end of the game, but to late when ur coaching was atrocious and game plan and defense fail!!

Exactly, and i say it's saddening, that they just hate the kid because of personal bias. Proven NFL coaches blame the coaching, and some still making arguments about Smith being pulled or sucking, and all this other s**t. Makes you sad as a fan, where we finally may have the right personnel, just the wrong playcalling, and fans still can come together and support.

Except that he is the one who gets smashed every time.

Simply, a good Head Coach like any manager is only as good as the people he has around him. Singletary has a a poor staff.

Dude, this is his fourth start after two years out. Don't you see some positivies in the way he is playing and what this offense might become if handled correctly?

Like the saying goes, (paraphrasing)

That is a brutal saying
