Will Vernon Davis Reach 1,000 Yards Receiving This Season?

Its pretty obvious to everyone that 49ers TE Vernon Davis is having the breakout year we have been hoping for. Will he be the first 49ers receiver to reach 1,000 yards since Terrell Owens? On NFL GameDay Final tonight, Rich Eisen said that Vernon is the first 49ers TE IN TEAM HISTORY to score 3 TDs in one game!

I don't know about 1000 yards. But I'm sure he'll reach 10 touchdowns

That's very unlikely but I think it's possible he could reach 850, 900 or even 950. 1,000 would be a real tall order even at this point. 900 yards and 10 - 12 TD's would be an absolutely huge year for him and it's real reachable at this point.

And it would make Krizay go away...

I think 900+ is attainable. He should have double digit touchdowns for sure though.

this brings up a good point...

if vernon cant reach 1000 this year, do you think gore does?

outside of the seattle game, vernon is averaging more per game(not including the games gore was out of)...

2/3rd's of gores yards this season came in one game..
