Why are there more and more posters on here concerned with "destroying someone" instead of talking football?
Don't act like you guys came to this thread to talk football. Can't talk football with you guys because you are totally unreasonable and don't know enough about football to even have a decent conversation with. Anyone with any sense can see what you guys agenda is, and it has more to do with bashing the starting QB than talking football. Look at it this way, this year either we win with Smith or you guys will have to move on to the next player on the roster you choose to dislike for whatever bulls**t reason you want to make up.
The only thing destroyed in this thread is the credibility of people that deal only in absolutes, and say ignorant things like "Smith has never done anything" or "he will never be any good". Not one of you football geniuses is clairvoyant, sometimes I wonder if the term cogent even applies. It seems to me you guys are more invested in Smith than the guys that hope for him to succeed, you certainly seem obsessed with blaming one person for a teams shortcomings. Personally I don't care who the QB as long as he doesn't cost us games, but I know however you declaim it, you will never be happy unless Smith fails miserably so you can happily claim to be right while we watch other teams advance in the playoffs. It must be a miserable existence to be such a person.
Why you coming at me kid? Did I say something that I don't remember? And when did I say all this that you're so generously giving me credit for?
I'll have you know that I've forgotten more about Football over the last 40 years than you will ever know... So why don't you take some of your own advice and stop blaming me for every little thing. I swear some of you drama queens need to get a life....
For the record everyone. I'm disappointed with Smiths performance; but, hope he turns it around. I, in now way, have blinders on as to his prior performances with our team and would love it if he somehow flipped that proverbial switch on in his football mind and started playing like an above average QB (we did not draft him first overall to be Below-Average to Average).
First of all, I am by no means a kid, as you would plainly see if you check my profile. I posted my name, age and other pertinent info in my profile because I do not mind in the least it being known who I am. I, unlike most who post here, do not feel the need to use the anonymity of the internet to hide. What I say here I stand behind as any man of integrity should.
As to your knowledge of football, it was not yours I meant to question but the posters earlier in the long lines of quotation. Your defense in earlier posts of the nonsense some of the less reasonable gentlemen lead me to believe you were in their camp. In your arguments you at least provide some measure of reason instead of the blanket statements that some like Bill/Fly/ZRF and others along that line. As to my football knowledge, I doubt you know any more than I, though there is no way to be sure, nor do I care enough to make an issue of it.
As it turns out, you and I share a common opinion on the quarterback situation. I am not satisfied with Smith's play in general, but have seen enough improvement to totally discount anyone that says he has never shown anything, or tries to lay the failures of this team on any one player. I apologize if I have offended you, having thought you to be one of the ignorant that irrationally dogs on our teams players as if they were rabid cowgirl or shehawk fans. No matter how much we all disagree, we must all remember we want the same thing, we all root for the same team, and win or lose, we are all in this thing together.
