Starting strong safety Michael Lewis had to be helped off the field today after a head-first hit on Falcons running back Michael Turner left him lying on the Candlestick Park grass for several minutes. Lewis was diagnosed with a concussion, the third he has suffered in the last two months.

Lewis suffered the first during an Aug. 18 scrimmage against the Raiders in Napa. Eleven days later, he took a knee to the side of the helmet during an exhibition game against the Cowboys and suffered another concussion. he sat out the exhibition finale against San Diego.

yea, we might be seeing Roman for the rest of the season.
Adding injury to insult.
He needs to stop putting his head down on the tackle.
Now i can see us draft a safety in the first round.
If Singletary cares about his players he will place him on IR and do his best to talking him into retiring.
Eric Berry.
we need to play R.Smith instead of Roman I HATE ROMAN he's a Nolan guy get him outta here

and this might be it for Lewis' for his sake he should think about stepping away
Expect a trade before next weeks deadline
Bench him. His health is more important than this game. I feel bad for him.
