What Adrian Peterson said about Gore

Peterson has the speed and size, Gore IMO is a better all around back. Gore can catch passes out of the backfield and he BLOWS up the Blitz!

Peterson is a better pure runner, Imagine what gore would be like without the 2 rebuilt knees....

Peterson can catch passes too it's just they don't use him much in that role as to not put any more wear and tear than necessary and they have another good back on that roster who excels in that area.
Gotta love homers gore ain't better than Peterson come on folks
Peterson actually said more than just respect and that gore is a good runner. He was asked why gore and he said gore has the complete package, block catch and run. He also said gore was awesome in college but had some bad luck with injuries.

Obviously Mr.Peterson hasn't been watching football for about a season and a half.

He has a lot of respect for how Frank runs and for all he's overcome with injuries. Peterson said Gore is one of the top backs in the league.

Peterson is THE top back in the league.

by far

How is that a knock on Gore? If the top back in the league says Frank is one of the top backs, then that's props.

Nobody says its knock, I was just pointing that out. Its good that Gore is recognized but he is not what he was in 2006.

Could it be that LA and JJ are no longer blocking for him, and instead we have these mediocre busters that get beat most of the time?

Heard Peterson on the Dan Patrick Show today. Patrick asked him which running back he most enjoys watching. He said LT & Gore are his favorites. Said he really respects Frank.

He must have been watch game film from 2 years ago when Frank and LT were at the tops of the game.

Bring in Minnesotas Oline to SF and Gore will be a top 3 back again (numbers wise).. skill wise, i still think Gore is a top 3

Doubt it. Peterson breaks tackle after tackle practically every game, Gore does it ONCE in awhile, and I'm talking about taking it to the house.

their styles are different...frank is smash mouth back peterson is a speed back with alot of agility to break tackles

and obviously peterson is the top back in the league....frank is still up there though
no need to bash on gore for one game

and it's not even close.
I think the fact that we're discussing what AP said is strong evidence in itself that this guy is the best right now.

Peterson is more than just a speed back. He also has power, which makes him probably the best RB in the league.

Then look up the stats for RB's for the last 4yrs and Frank is #3 or #4

As for Gore "breaking tackles ONCE in awhile" is just plain ignorance, except for the last game he breaks tackle alot-even in Madden

What makes Peterson better than Frank(not by much)is his break away speed which Frank lacks and a better OL as the above post mentioned.Furthermore Frank has defeated 8-9 in the box before-I'm not sure if AP has or not because I haven't seen his games in full.

ZACTLY Though it was his Rookie year. Peterson got manhandled by Bam Bam.

I can't remember a game where Frank got held to as little yardage by one guy.

I will say that AP is at the top right now, but we'll see how he fares against Patrick "Bam Bam" Willis this season. Cause I'm looking forward to that game. My fantasy opponent that week has AP in his lineup.

I can't believe people are still using that stupid "Bam Bam" nickname for Willis. Consider who made it up, then think about if you really want to use it.
Lol
They stacked 9 in the box and he went untouched

People make a lot more out of that performance than they should. AP had pretty much hit the rookie wall at that point and Willis was only one player on that defense that contributed to holding AP to 3 yards.

As far as Gore having a game like that in the NFL he has....vs the G-Men last year. Gore had 11 yards on 11 carries and one of those carries went for 26 yards. So beyond the one big rush the Giants D managed to stuff his ass .

WTF

You don't like Gore?

Seriously,are you a Niner fan?

GORE IS A BEAST

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!
