No Haralson thread? Really?

I think I actually agree with this.

He had limited action last year and yet had 8 sacks.

He is strong, quick, powerful and tenacious.

He PLAYED like an All-Pro today.

He finally has a chance to show what he can do as an every down player.
Haralson, Smith and Lawson all played well.

Our secondary did a very good job too.
Nasty Parys

Nasty Parys - wasn't that a movie?
pssh, he only had 1 sack. and as a whole our defense only had 3. that is pathetic, we have to have 10-15 sacks a game. i say we cut everybody, go out and get charles halley, chris doleman, and kevin greene out of retirment because our D is not going to cut it against a real offense.

I know you're joking, but I just wanted to point out that I would rather have 20 quarterback pressures and zero sacks, then 5 sacks and no pressures.

Pressures make you a good defense.
Add sacks to the equation and then you're talking top five defense.

Warner has better pocket awareness than Hasselbeck. If we can pressure the Seahawks just as well as we pressured the Cardinals, I think we will get more sacks next week.
Better than Manny Lawson. Straight up. I really like him

I kind of thought that he was just kind of a fringe sacker last year, but the guy has taken that next step. He looks like a legitimate pass rushing beast out there, and it has been a really long time since we had one of those on our team.

haralson.. j smith.. p willie = stud muffins
Lawson was able to get some pressure, Haralson was unblockable at times and Smith got great pressure too.

We held a pretty potent passing attack in check today in their house, and I think a lot of it was due to the pressure that Haralson consistently got on the outside. (with an assist from Justin Smith). He got to the edge whenever he wanted to, and I think he was a big reason that they checked down so much.

It seems like it's been 20 years since we had a damn pass rush, and there was no reason to think that this season would be any different. But if he can continue to play like that, he's gonna start attracting more attention and things will open up for other guys. The one thing our defense was lacking was much of a pass rush, but if we can consistently do what we did today, we are going to be in almost every game.

Props to Haralson.

He played like he was possessed by the devil. Levi Brown will have nightmares about him for the rest of his life.

5th round steal!

Yeah, I remember Mel talking about how big of a steal he was in the 5th round out of Tennessee. He seems to be getting better every year.

What's even better is that he played well enough for SEA to notice him on film and possibly put some extra help on his side, which should open things up more for Justin Smith or another blitzer.

Haralson is a better pass rusher for sure. Lawson is a better all around LB though.
