After the niner-cowboys game many think the niners offense is just the the 2007 version. There's a big difference though. Hostler got in over his head trying to combine two different offenses (the west coast and the digit system). Raye is dedicated to a smaller playbook but at running those small number of plays very effectively. We'll see a much more disciplined, efficient offense. Basically the offense needs more reps. I think the Hostler/Tollner/Hill combo blows Raye and his condom offense. If just Hostler, I'd say they're exactly the same.

To his defense Schotenheimer has something that resembles an NFL offense. They struggled against the Ravens who has always played tough defense. I would much rather have him than Raye as OC. Maybe Sing and Raye gets fired at the end of the season and Marty and Brian Schotenheimer take over. Right now Marty ball looks alot better than the limp offense we are running now.
