Did Nate Davis Just Win A Roster Spot? (Poll, Please don't merge)

yes
I like Nate a lot. Two good friends of mine who watched Ball State over the past 2 years told me Nate is a steal. I hope they are right.
it wouldn't be wise to risk him being claimed
Davis in Huard out...if he can do the same again next week.
Rookie QB Nate Davis told his team: "Let's not settle for a field goal." Two plays later, Sheets scored the game-winning points for 49ers.

Nate Davis took out the guesswork. The 49ers drafted him -- no question that they must keep him.

Alex and Shaun are not the odd men out in favor of rookie Nate. No matter how much you love Nate, hate Smith, or hate Hill....just the truth.

Just wanted to put up every possible scenario. I know if i would have left those two choices out... some Smart Alec would have said, "Davis In, Smith Out" ... Just covering my bases
I hope Huard gets cut.

We can't keep 5 RBs/FBs and 4 QBs.

The only one I saw was about him starting in the pre-season. That's a completley different question than the one being polled in this thread...
I wouldnt be suprised to hear the niners start shopping Alex Smith come the start of the season...because if Nate is kept on the 53, it means the team is looking to develope him as a future starter, which where does that put Alex Smith..and if i remember correctly there are a few coaches out there that are very interested in taking a shot at developing him...

The 49ers are not going to get anything in return for Alex Smith. He's signed to a two year deal and most GMs will be patient enough to wait it out.

I would get so mad if we lost Nate for a dumb move like that.
