Curry better than Willis. That's funny. He obviously didn't watch last year's game in Seattle.

anyone know how their Oline compares to Zona?
If we were abusing the Tards line, I would hope we could get a good pass rush on hasselbeck, since he doesn't get as rattled as Warner does once you get in his face...

it depends if Spencer and Jones are back this week. I doubt they will be and i think we'll have a field day rushing the QB. Lawson should be able to abuse Locklear and with Parlys coming from the other side? It could get ugly for them quick.
We do need to have someone dedicated to Carlson though, that's Matt's favorite target.

saying their defense more physical than ours. Easy to talk big when you beat up on an expansion team like the rams have right now.
Its not like we beat up the Rams the last time we played. Got lucky actually to win. Seahawks will be a real test. But if we have any thought of winning the division you must win your division home games.

the seachickens will be a test to see where we are really at.. for sure.. we always seem to compete with the cards (even in the nolan era).. but the seachickens always seem to have our number.. i hope we dominate on both sides of the ball this time.. not just on defense

Actually we beat the hawks' twice with smith as our QB, thank you very much. I bet we win in 2007 if he didn't get crushed :(

Maybe so, but we knocked the piss out of them in our first meeting. And that thrashing made Seattle's victory seem tame. Believe we notched 35 before the halftime whistle.

You can pretty much guarantee a Seattle defender will try to provoke Vernon Davis into doing something stupid, like they did last year in the infamous "Singletary sends Davis to the locker room" game. They drew two Personal Fouls from Rams hothead C Ritchie Incognito last week.
At least Holmgren isn't coaching them anymore. Whether he was in GB or Seattle, his team always outplayed the 49ers.
Lawson needs to shutdown Carlson, Morgan and Bruce need to take advantage because Trufant is on the PUP, and Franklin needs to play well since Spencer is out.

This ^
Pissed me off last year...everybody knew that shutting down the rookie Carlson essentially would shut down the Hawks. What's that dumbass Nolan do? Lets Carlson have a field day. Shutting him down is the key to stopping Seattle's offense, he's Hass's security blanket.
I think they are starting Willis on the right side, Parys's should have a great game against him. Their o-line is suspect, that is for sure. Willis and Locklear are not nearly like having Jones on the left, and Locklear on the right, the difference is night and day. Locklear is good only on the right, and Willis is not very good in pass protection, his feet are made of lead, and doesn't belong at the tackle spot at all. (Us nabbing Pasho was an excellent move, we gained and we denied our opponent as well). I don't think they will be able to run either. Shutting that down should be the easiest of our tasks...and we should be able to do it in our base d.
One thing we will need to watch for...you can bet Seattle will be doing a lot of screens etc. after watching film on us at Zona.

One guy I worry about is John Carlson TE. He could be a future pro bowler...
If we get to Hasselbeck early before he gets in a rhythm we will be fine.
I would like to see Gore and Vernon Davis go off!
Maybe pass first to set up the run!

I have a suspicion, having followed the Hawks closely for several years...I am not sure they are going to be able to handle the stunts etc. We were damn good working as a team last week. That's really their weak spot on offense...the communication on the line.... the "gel" factor.
I suspect there will be assignment breakdowns on their part. I think we are going to get a lot of pressure on Hass this week, and a few flat out Hass on his back plays. The question will be if we have it covered up down field or not. Hass is accurate and can get rid of it quick. If we cover well, we should be able to bring some heat and force a TO or two.

Maybe this year, we will actually cover Carlson. Eff you dumb Nolan! Your opponent has literally ZERO WRs and you still don't double their best TE who has already torched you for 3 quarters AND you are still playing the big nickel against ZERO WRs?
