I remember way back when the 9ers drafter Jerry Rice that there was some talk about him holding out too. He wanted to get the absurd amount of $600,000 per season and I remember thinking that was just crazy money. Of course he signed and became the greatest WR ever and arguably the greatest football player ever. As for Crabtree, it appears that he cares more about first contract guaranteed money than ever shooting for the greatest. Everything can change, of course, once he signs, but right now I'm not impressed.
