Still though. - that same design is happening for the 49ers stadium I believe. I wish I had a link but I remember reading it somewhere
People assume that only a dome can create a lot of noise. A dome is a guaranteed way of making the stadium loud, but acoustics are not as simple as people think. Our stadium has a chance to be very loud with the way its designed.
You can design the stadium to be as loud as you want, but we dont have the fans to make it happen.
Its sad to say, but the 49er fanbase, while passionate, proud, and large in numbers, pretty much sucks at being a home crowd. Were not that loud, and we sell half our seats to opposing fans. The Cowboys game in 2011 was a joke. 50-60% Cowboys fans, and it was the home opener.
