Maybe not, but any QB would look better if they had Fitz catching passes.

Wow they gave up a ton of picks for Palmer.
The Raiders are dumb.
Keep that stupidity on the other side of the Bay Bridge please, thank you.

This is why it helps to look beyond the stats. Palmer was a garbage-time stat-stuffer deluxe, when the games actually mattered, he was beyond awful. But when the Raiders were down 15-20 points, he was chucking the ball all over the place. I think his QBR was literally about 50% less when the game was within 5 points.
When the defense is ranked 28th in PPG, he kind of has to air it out. He's not that bad. They were depleted at WR and he still put up solid numbers. I think Brandon Meyers was their leading pass catcher.
Not great, but not hot garbage.

That's why Hue Jackson cannot find any job. A gutsy move that turned completely disastrous.

Too true.
In this league it's VERY hard to change first impressions.
Alex Smith - first impression was that of underachieving and bust. He's had about 30 games in a row where he's played Top 15 QB in the NFL overall and people still question his ability as a starter.
Carson Palmer - came out of the gate with solid play and was considered a hit as a draft pick. Has done nothing worthy of significance since his knee injury, and yet still gets the benefit of the doubt in a lot of league circles.

They had their best finish in years under Jackson. I have no doubt the Raiders would have been better if he stayed.
