But as a run defender you can't do much better. Won't get you the tackle but will make the offense battle uphill.

I would rather have players who can cover
You can teach a player to cover. You can not teach them to be physical. That is either in them or it isn't
Great words....for a HS coach. If 25+ year old football player does not know how to do something, they are never going to just learn it.
The physicality of the Niners was pivotal in rising from the ashes.....but to get over the final hurdle and win that 6th ring, you need better talent at the skilled positions. Like a Asomugha

There is mutual interest between the 49ers and free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, league sources indicated Wednesday to CSNBayArea.com.
The 49ers are among three teams that have shown interest in Asomugha, a source said. Pro Football Talk reports there are four teams, including the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers also were involved with Asomugha two years ago before he signed a blockbuster contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

If he comes cheap I'm all for it. Same age as Rogers but I think he could be an upgrade. If he comes for a good price we could have solid CBs in Brown, Cully, Rogers and NA. I think we should draft at least one or two as well.

Hopefully [if we sign him] he comes in PISSED and wants to prove the world wrong.

Counting his collegiate career, Nnamdi has had ONE winning season out of 14 years (2002 Cal Bears 7-5 season).
Jesus Christ.

That's why he should think twice if he wants to finally reach playoffs and win... 49ers>>>Saints.
There was a vid "Can Nnamdi get his groove back" (link below) with Eric Davis on it, mentioning Nnamdi as a good fit with the Niners...
