The Browns did the right thing by stopping this before Sunday. But it was wrong to approve this idea in the first place. This is the statement from the Browns: "After further and careful consideration, we felt it was in the best interests of everyone involved that we not have a giveaway item at tomorrow's game. It is something that was intended to be fun for our fans and that they could rally around, and we regret that some didn't perceive it that way. We want to thank all of our fans for their tremendous support and we look forward to seeing them out in force at the stadium tomorrow." The Browns regret that "some" didn't perceive it that way. The team was asking fans to wave white flags. How could you not perceive this as a sign of surrender? This wasn't just a punchline among the national media. Even the Browns players were shaking their heads about this. When the Browns play the Steelers on Sunday, there will be a lots of Terrible Towels being waved. Luckily for the Browns, they didn't go through with what was this year's Terrible Idea. lololol so much wrong with that team, from the top on down

Wow, exactly what were they thinking? Approve any other color except for white to go against the Terrible Towels, just not white.

I'll never understand who made the decision to give away white 49ers towels for the NFCCG last year, the epic saints game it was red, they should've just kept it red.

recycled red towels do not make money. ''New'' white towels do.The week after that , it might have been burgundy for no reason at allother than to sell more towels.

ummmm did you all forget that we also were handed out white towels (with red writing on it) happens alot.
