ok sorry guys...did not intend this to be a stealth Alex Thread, but I couldn't help but copy and paste similar posts I've come across regarding Harbaugh's offenses and other offenses in the league.
anyway, back to original topic Andrew Luck.
I was visiting the Colts forums..and their fans are VERY excited, which is to be expected. Some are throwing around that he, so far, plays a mix of Peyton and Big Ben (regarding making plays when things fall apart around him).
he really is just looking down field no matter what and delivers the ball. Its like he accepts that there will be hands touching him, hitting him, things in his way...but he is focused on his targets and gets them the ball.

what are you talking about? Luck would output the same type of production we are getting with Alex here.....its just how Harbaugh's offenses are.
If Alex was QBing the Colts on Sunday he would've thrown for 430 yards and 2TDs with those same offensive powerhouse weapons.....if not more.
You're crazy. Alex played from begins most of his career and he had OCs that liked to throw the ball (McCarthy, Norv...). Alex never put up these kind of numbers, even with a ton of garbage time.
He also never had the same playbook two years in a row, or an OL that wasnt garbage, or WR's that made him look good....Kind of important things.
But Smith was also never the prospect Luck was. If Smith had been on the Packers, and Rodgers on the Niners, their roles wouldnt have been totally reversed, but Smith wouldve looked a heck of alot better, and Rodgers would not have looked like an elite QB.

Ok if you think he is better than Smith at this point that's fine. Luck had 3-4 years with Harbaugh.

Every thread turns into a comparison of Alex eventually. Whether it be about HC's, OC's, OL, WR's, TE's, other QB's.

Interesting how Luck's stats are worse than Wilson's and RGIII's yet Luck is obviously the better QB. Still, all three are impressing as they were drafted by what were not very good teams with not very good overall talent.

Its amazing that with only one offseason, no chemistry with his WRs, a terrible offensive line, learning a new offense, and playing for a terrible team, that anyone can have this type of success.
