I think that's their release time, not how long from the snap till throw.

But is that from start of throw to release? Could of been out of shotgun as well. Thats possible if you time it from getting the ball till the throw

I think it's from when they begin their throw until it's released - but from what they show, it looks pretty subjective.

The clock should start from the snap. Read. Then release. That's how you clock a qb pocket release.

... and there's a reason Football Outsiders keeps a stat called "short sacks" as defining a QB sacked in 3 or less seconds.

Either way they don't wait and make a decision, this trait I wish AS would develope because he is not going to get that much time to throw
