Smash for Cash

Looks like Pete Carroll brought over a cash incentive prgram to SF when he was the defensive coordinator

Cash was paid for hits, fumbles and big plays like ints.

Saints took it another level and gave cash for INJURIES.

Thats just wrong.
that title is pretty misleading lol..

Also, back then there were no rules really against hitting defenseless receivers or helmet to helmet or roughing the QB. You could hit them 10 seconds after he threw and there wouldn't be a penalty. It was a different NFL. Honestly, I have no problem with players or teams giving money to players if they get an int, ff, fr, td, big it, etc as long as it's a legal hit. Once you start paying players for injuries than you are crossing the line.
took it to USC as

but that was "Dash for Cash"
