Ochocinco has been released

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
After unsuccessfully trying to trade WR Chad Ochocinco throughout the day Thursday, the Patriots are releasing him, per league source.

A source told the Globe's Shalise Manza Young that Ochocinco still has his skills physically and is very fast, but he continues to struggle with the Patriots' playbook.

I was thinking that too, but didn't they have some friction over the years? I thought he burned that bridge a few times.

I'm not saying he isn't talented, but he runs horrible routes. You ever watch him run, with those little steps. Its like he's running completly out of control. Imo, Palmer made him look a lot better than he is, just like Palmer is doing with the Raiders recievers.

Wasn't the WR coach in Oakland the guy that he punched? I seem to remember that being the case when we were speculating where he would end up before it was the Patriots. Not sure though.
