Nate Clements could be candidate for release in Cincinnati

i always thought he would make a great saftey. the only reason i didnt like him is because of his hi salary. if he want to join for LOW cost i say yes!
I liked Nate Clements.

He always came through as a tough beast. He just couldn't handle Fitz, but he did return kicks and Intercept passes like a sir.

One of my all time fave niner CBs
Clements was fantastic against the run and weak against the pass. He was also not the fastest guy in the world. For those reasons alone, Clements is not an ideal safety.
Fumbled against the Falcons 2 years ago......still dont care about him.....

What are you talking about? The Niners owned Fitzgerald when Nate Clements was here. It was often Spencer who was on him, anyway. Either way, your statement is incorrect. Not to mention he returned few kicks and had very few INTs while he was here.

Rogers did more in 1 season with the 49ers than Clements did in his 4 years here.

So glad he is gone. He is a prime example of why you don't break the bank on big FAs.

Justin Smith waves hello.
