People still pay for this? Just call and threaten to cancel and they'll offer you NFL Sunday Ticket, free HD DVR, and a bunch of discounts.

Oh s**t... I bet they will still give discounts but no more Redzone channel unless you pay the $299.

Stream the games for free online and spend the 200 on beers.

nope, depends on the customer service rep you get. i called to cancel last year and they offered me a 20% discount. when i still said no thanks they went ahead and cancelled. i really did want to cancel it unless they were going to give me an insane deal (like 75% off)

I didn't even threaten last year, just called in, asked nicely if there was anything they could do for me, being as I'm a 5yr directv sub, they gave me 120.00 off the price, plus To-Go free, I was happy.
I already started paying for 2012 back after the super bowl when they had the 299.95 package up. I've done the call in for discounts the past 2 seasons, decided this year I'll just pay the 299.95, I dont feel like calling in.
I get the ticket because I hate worrying about whether or not I will find a good feed free online, and a bunch of times they have been crap. I never am able to get one that stays still for more than 5 mins, so I've said screw it, just go with the ticket, plus DirecTV is much better than Cable, hated my cable provider(Time Warner), they are cheap and have terrible service and equipment. Will be 6th season having the ticket, and have never been dissapointed with it. Also never have an issue with signal or losing feeds, always on, even in bad rain and snow.
