I was exaggerating on purpose..

Id start Earl Thomas over Goldson but Id probably keep Whitner over the other starting strong safeties.

Campbell is a better pass rusher than McDonald but I dont know that Id definitely take him over Ray.

If Chris Long is as good at 3-4 OLB as he is 4-3 DE I'd take him over Brooks.

Id keep Sopoaga over Branch.

I think Brown is better than Browner. Brown has always been solid and Browner went undrafted in 05 and spent 4 years in the CFL. We'll see if he can have another year like he did last year. I think he's gonna be like Mike Williams.

I would definitely trade Brown straight up for Patrick Peterson though, mainly because I think he'll be one of the elite corners in the next couple years.

Peterson over T. Brown. Its debateable which is the better corner, but Peterson is definitely the better playmaker and would be unbelievable on our Defense.

Goldson and Thomas is close, close enough to pause me but I'll stick with the Hawk. Dashon and Whitner play so well together.

Campbell over RayMc could work, but since Ray has been training with Cowboy he's been a different player and I have a good feeling he'll only get better from here.

Thomas will probally be the best FS in the league in a year or two.

Goldson also benifited from possibly the best front seven in the history of football last year. The stats are not a fair comparison IMO and Thomas had alot more tackles, which again is not a fair comparison. I just think if we had a FS and alowed Goldson the SS spot he would be even beter than he has. Regardless i hope we lock goldson up long term.

not sure how reliable these stats are, i got them off a draft site. scroll down to #5 on 49ers fa for full comment. I think goldson is better suited to the
SS spot, and wouldnt go as far as saying he is a backup. I also dont think he is worth nearly the amount of money he wants, i hope we sign him
to a lesser contract or upgrade through the draft. ( not this year though, safety class is looking pretty weak). Niners made the right move with the Franchise tag.
