This thread is to discuss general NFL issues, stories, etc. that do not warrant its own thread.

**test run, on recommendation from a zoner.
The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with free-agent running back Michael Bush on a four-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

Harrison: Free-agency winners/losers
Which teams have vastly improved in free agency? Which teams are dropping the ball? Elliot Harrison weighs in. More ...

The team did not disclose financial terms, but a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that the receiver will get a total of $14 million, with $7 million guaranteed.

Not good for Forte.
do want
Maybe we should all work on a list of ideas for things that should go in here and put them in the original post so members get an idea.

Like maybe a player said something in a tweet....
Maybe someone being interviewed on ESPN/NFLN...
Articles written.....
Discussing team records... predictions
maybe free agents jersey numbers or someone changing numbers...
Would weekly power rankings work or should we one official thread for that?
expert predictions....

Any thoughts guys?

An example... what the nfl logos looked like this past week. (the ones with peyton manning's face in them). Instead of the thread having to go in the parking lot which isn't usually football talk it could be posted and discussed in here.

I actually think Niner Talk could use the same thing. A thread like this to cut down threads that don't be really need to be made but people still want to share the news.

Brady restructured his contract. By redoing his deal on March 16, Brady freed up roughly $7.2 million in cap space to assist the team in free agency.

Drew Stanton is pissed the jets signed Tebow and is demanding a trade or release. He says he was promised the back up role a week ago and they just handed it to Tebow. Says he turned down bigger offers because he was promised the back up position with the jets.

This whole thing is going to blow up in their faces.

Hayden Smith, a born and raised Aussie, came to the U.S. to play collegiate basketball in Colorado. When that didn't work, he unknowingly put himself in a position to play for the U.S. rugby team. He worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. Previously, Smith has met with the New York Jets twice and he's also had a workout for the New Orleans Saints. The Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks have expressed interest in bringing Smith in but right now he has a tight schedule with his rugby commitments. As you can see, several NFL teams are courting Hayden Smith for his services. At 6'7" 240 pounds and 26 years of age, Smith is being looked at as a potential project Tight End in the NFL.

as long as their cheerleaders

Do the coaches and management people have any kind of a Union like the players do? Seems kind of unfair that when a players is punished he can go to the NFLPA and get help while a coach is screwed.
