ouch
I dont get the hate against AJ Smith. He built a talented team in San Diego.
It'll take AJ Smith 10 years to draft any kind of talent.

maybe he'll draft another QB and then let Bradford walk

AJ Smith has been terrible lately with his FA and Draft handlings. I laughed at several of his most recent 1st rounders, particularly Larry English who I was SCREAMING "BUST" about all over this board.

His most recent years have been FILLED with a monstrous amount of "reach" picks. Jonas Mouton on the second this year? SERIOUSLY? He's not even a fit for the 3-4. He was valued as a 5th rounder at best. He didn't play in any games this year, and went on IR in Week 3.

1st rounder Larry English has been a bust.
1st rounder Craig "Buster" Davis was a bust.
1st rounder Antoine Cason has been getting roasted by opposing QB's, looking like he might be a bust too.

He had built a good team in the past but lately it has been just terrible. He hired Marty. Then fired him after a 14-2 season. they lost after their bye to the patroits, who eventually won the superbowl. He is responsible for hiring Turner. If you say Norv is no good, then you have to point the finger at the guy who hired him. They hired Manusky as D coordinator from us, and he wasn't even a good D coordinator, he just stops the run. They let Brees go, Michael Turner, Sproles, etc...
The latest draft was aweful. They still have time to develop but they had 5 picks in the first 2 rounds and they all look like duds...

shows how much he knows. NO ONE is going to trade for Bradford and his salary. Rams are stuck with him for awhile.

honestly it'd be bad for us....Gruden is overrated yes but he is a decent coach (at times), and regardless of how he did win a Super Bowl. Aj Smith beasted in SD just hasn't had much post season wins (compare the Chargers before Smith and after). It'd be interesting

It can be adjusted. -If the Rams make Bradford feel unwelcome enough to be there by telling him flat-out they're drafting luck (and plan on starting him), Bradford will demand a trade himself (and will re-work his salary) to get it done. -Would be sad though, since it is still his rookie contract.

Yeah well good luck trading that contract and a QB that had like 6 tds all season long. Not a huge market for that.

You do realize the Rams would be on the hook for his signing bonus right? Which that alone would allow Bradford to redo his deal to a friendly number to the team he goes to and still will basically get roughly the same amount in the long haul. Thanks again to yet another signing bonus.

Exactly. No one is taking on Bradford's salary. No one. What did he sign? 5 years at 75 million? Good luck.

Yea, but a lot of that is guaranteed money. His yearly salary is probably $8-9M a year.
