Playing through a painful ankle injury that knocked him out of the game for the last half of the second quarter, Ben Roethlisberger completed 17-of-22 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception to the lead the Steelers to a 14-3 victory over the Browns in Week 14.
Roethlisberger couldn't put pressure on his left foot, leading to speculation that it could turn out to be a multi-week injury. Instead, he limped onto the field for the second half, giving the Steelers the threat of the pass against a defense stacking the box while Charlie Batch was in the game. Big Ben sealed the game with a back-shoulder throw that Antonio Brown turned into a 79-yard score, and would have added a third touchdown had Mike Wallace's knee not brushed the grass while breaking a tackle at the 3-yard line. Roethlisberger will have a much-needed 10 days of rest before the Week 15 clash with the 49ers' dominant defense.
