Hey TX9R do you think Sing could have the same kind of influence on Robinson as he had on VD?
If we were to sign Robinson and if Sing could set this boy straight we would be set at CB for a while with Spencer, Robinson(assuming he plays like he did pre-injury) and Brown.
Now i dont know how much money this dude wants but if its not too crazy, I say we should at least entertain the idea
I don't think it's the same deal. VD, while he had some injuries, physically he was fine, he just needed an attitude adjustment. Dunta is not the same player he was pre-injury and I think his attitude is more that of fear than diva like VD was. He's already turned down 23M guaranteed which is quite a bit, and more than I would think/ hope we'd be willing to pay.
True plus folks have to remember that Sing had a influence on VD b/c VD wanted and learned from it. Every player isn't gonna take what Sing does and say the same way. Robinson might be a guy who wouldn't react to Sing.

In comparison with the Clements signing, I still have no regrets about the money that we gave him.
You have to remember that we were coming off what, a dismal 4-12 season? If we wanted to attract any solid FA, we would have had to overpay him to come here. That, and it's not as if we were up against the cap ceiling.

We were coming off a 7-9 year before signing Clements I believe.

Why would you? Or anyone else for that matter? His signing did not set us back at all. We have been consistently WELL under the cap, even with is contract. There's no reason to regret something is not hurting you.
