I could understand if it was a contending team, but the raiders arent even there yet.
I think NE has mafia ties.

Not necessarily, Seymour is a proven pro-bowl player and that draft pick is a zero right now. I do think it will be a top 10 and end up in the favor of the Pats, but you never know.

this screws up the draft...
cause al davis would have taken the fastest 40 guy
Now NE will actually do something smart with the pick

Not to mention that NE will probably trade down to get even more picks. Brilliant!

Wow. As bad as the raiders are that could easily turn out to be a top 5 pick.

think about it i really don't think the Raiders can afford to pay another top 5 pick. McFadden, Russell, and DHB has to be killing there cap. Add in franchising Nnamdi and that's dam near a wrap cap wise.

Davis just couldn't pass up that speed.

I wish we would have at least made some attempt to get a pass rusher whether we tried to sign Ellis or even make a trade offer to NE. We went for the quick fix with Bruce, why not try with Seymour or Ellis? I guess were saving our FA money for next yr when Peppers, Wilfork, Merriman etc are available..

According to Adam Schefter, Seymour was traded to the Oakland Patriots.

The Raiders could be on to something. With the best CB in the league shutting down one side of the field, and extreme peressure on the QB. They can now shift the coverage to the other side of the field. Mean while TE's and RB's will have to stay in to block because of the pressure!
They could have a pretty solid deffense!
But isn't Oakland where good players go to die? Were we not all just saying; WOW, they now have D. Hall and N.A at CB with Wilson & the kid from Texas at safety?
Or WOW they now have Sapp & Moss?
Just another funeral for the carreer of a great player in oakland.
