Ill stick with Smith. He is stable emotionally and you need that in a QB.

Yes Young won OROY. Big whoop. He was still carrying his hype from the National Championship game. His defense carried the season. He hasn't done jack all since a semi-decent rookie year.

I'm not saying that Alex Smith is the answer by any means. But at this point in time, i'd rather take a QB who has maturity and a strong desire to play the game than a guy who can't beat our Kerry Collins and is contemplating dropping out of the league.

You also need a guy whose hands are big enough to hold onto the ball, who can play with poise, who can make split decisions, who can release the ball quickly, and who does not telegraph where he's throwing it.

Smith sucks.

You also need a guy who actually WANTS to play football and is not going to retire on you.

Smith might suck, but Vince Young sucks as well.
