This.

I was always a big Hill supporter. People always made a huge deal about his noodle arm. Well guess what, you don't need a cannon arm to win games.

I can't say I'm too surprised by this. The way he was traded was f'ed up.

funny but they felt he wasn't good enough to be the backup here....but purposely traded him to the Lions of all teams for a 7th Round pick of the next year.

I don't think that kind of trade has ever happened in the NFL....7th round pick? not too many of those type trades....6th rd sure....but 7th rd, of the next year???...lol.

they felt he wasn't good enough here...but couldn't take the chance of releasing him like I said last year...cause he probably would've went to the Cards....and most likely won the Starting role......The Cards have a good offensive team with no QB, like us. They could've benefited with Shaun.
what I really like about the Shaun Hill situation this year is that a player I like is helping a team I like develop a competitive feel. The Lions are one of those teams that I always kind of pull-for because they've been so bad for so long, and they are an old-school NFL team with a classic look and a kinda-tragic history. They've really got some good pieces to become a decent team, and I like that Hill has been able to step in and step up for them and continue to give them hope even without their #1 QB. They may not be winning a bunch of games, but they are a good NFL story.

still kinda annoys me that he got scapegoated for our offensive struggles early last year when it was pretty obvious already that Raye was the problem, not Hill

I almost think that's why McCloughan was canned.
I liked him on the Joe Show. A LOT.

I'll root for him while starts. Plus I like the Lions because they have California Bear Jahvid Best, whose jersey I own.

Damn straight!
hate to say it but I think the starship is about to crash next sunday @NYG

Tuck and Osi going crazy lately, and Megatron's shoulder injury seems to be worse than it first sounded

its ok... I love when I get to see Shaun play against tough teams.

the good thing about Hill is that even if they don't have Megatron...Hill is the type of QB that can still adjust, if the OC doesn't call the game scared.

Hill is good at spreading the ball around...he did a good job with Isaac Bruce and Morgan as his starting WRs.....and has worked well with Bryant Johnson in the past.

I also hate the NYGiants..and it will be a great feeling if the Lions with Shaun Hill..lol...can beat the Giants...can't wait to talk sh1t to my friend......if it happens.
Shaun Hill is a "Noodle Arm" GOD!!!

just came across this, pretty funny....he doesn't take himself too serious.

lol at the end, regarding his Football trading card value.
oh yeah,

Quarterback Shaun Hill of the Detroit Lions and running back Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on October 10-11, the NFL announced on Friday.

Hill completed 21 of 32 passes for 227 yards, including three touchdowns, in leading the Lions to a 44-6 win over the St. Louis Rams.
the space flight continues..

Is GM Martin Mayhew 2010 NFL Executive of the Year Material?

QB Shaun Hill for a 2011 7th Round Pick: This is another move that could win the award for Mayhew on its own. Hill is playing at a high level and he is a top five backup quarterback. Shaun Hill could start for 10 teams in the NFL right now and be an upgrade, including his former team the 49ers. To acquire an insurance policy like Hill for a 7th rounder is masterful.[/quote]

that link talks about the many moves by Lions GM Mayhew...he has done a pretty good job on paper....now they need to start showing it with wins.
