Michael Bush looks good...
Against second and third stringers, i'd like to see him do that against the 1's
what can i say, the Raiders apparently wanted to win that bad cause they know the ain't gonna win much when the real season starts.
actually I thought Michael Bush did well. Much better that McFadden IMO. McFadden is a wasted pick for them, and not getting Glenn Dorsey will comeback to haunt them. Bush will be the better RB for the Raiders.
Based on what ?
With McFadden, you can just chop his legs out from underneath him. He was just a little overrated coming out. He is big and can do things in open space, but his lower torso will be his biggest weakness. People and other teams will quickly notice that.
With Bush, He is a power back all the way around. He has more strength, IMO, to run through defenders. I know we had 2nd and 3rd stringers in, but he was punishing them.
D-Mac did well vs the 1st stringers and kept his legs churning when hit. I agree that was his knock coming out of college but it didn't seem to be in his 1st NFL game. It remains to be seen if that will be a weakness at this level. Bush has a long way to unseat D-Mac and prove to be the better back. He'll be #3 on the depth chart and won't get as many touches this year and prob next.
I also thought Oakland shouldn't have picked D-Mac, IMO the best thing they could have done was gotten a deal done with the Saints. The Saints did try to move up to #2 & 3 for Dorsey, the Raiders could have fallen to #10 and recouped the 2nd rounder they gave up for D-Hall. They could have had a better draft IMO with the ability to get a franchise LT (Clady Williams and Albert were all on the board) or if they really wanted a RB they had Mendenhall and Stewart still available to them, then address either DE-DT (Campbell or Laws) or WR (Hardy,Kelly,Sweed,Royal) in the 2nd.

I could've sworn he was a rookie...either way he had a great game
