It's a good idea if we can do it. The Patriots routinely used to trade very late 1st or even 2nd round picks for a 1st next year. Some of those turned out into higher picks. We are kind of the new Patriots as we manipulate teams into deals that aren't good for them and are great for us. LOL.....
It's easier said than done. You have to find somebody dumb enough to do it. Sometimes there is. The Raiders used to make trades like this all the time that turned into top 10 picks next year for the other team.
