Players that I feel are just too low on your board....
27 Damontre Moore Texas A&M DE -- would have him around 15
32 Tyler Eifert Notre Dame TE -- would have him around 25
39 Sam Montgomery LSU DE/OLB -- would swap him out with Mingo at 13
70 Barrett Jones Alabama C/G -- would put him about 20 spots higher
76 Justin Hunter Tennessee WR -- would put him about 45 spots higher

You have Donte Jones at 22 and Damontre Moore at 27.
That just seems too low for Moore.
It is that a mistake?
I have to agree with MD here. Moore just isn't that explosive to warrant a top 5-15 selection, and the more teams dive in to the tape they'll see that.

He's the kind of raw project player I would love to have after the 3rd, but he'll get drafted too high based on potential.
I agree. Last thing the Niners need is another project WR after this years debacle with AJ Jenkins. The Niners need to draft defense as the top of this draft. Based on MDs rankings I might go:
1) Sam Montgomery OLB Good value at #32 . Another big time pass rusher would be huge
2) Brandon Williams DT Plug in your NT for a few years
3A) Logan Ryan CB MD put him at this spot for Niners. Excellent value at a need position
3B Stedman Bailey WR The Niners need a quick slot WR who can also excel in the return game
Do we really, though? Kyle Williams is proven in that role. Manningham is can also excel in the slot. And I doubt they're giving up on Jenkins yet.
Seems a "quick slot WR who can also excel in the return game" is just about the last thing we need. We don't have a single tall WR or deep threat type other than our TE (assuming Randy Moss keeps slowing down).
Jenkins isnt a slot WR and while they arent giving up on him the team does need more weapons. Who knows how Brandon Williams will be when he returns and quite frankly he isnt that dynamic anyway. I think Bailey would give the Niners an exciting slot WR and would be excellent value at the end of the 3rd round.
I would jump for joy if these were our top 4 picks.

Jordan is expected to perform off the charts at the combine and may have the highest upside of any player in the draft. I see a meteoric rise. Floyd is going to be attractive to both 43 and 34 defenses, as he is stout, has heavy hands, and is very athletic for a 300 pounder. I also see a big move up by him. As for Ansah, I commented earlier about his rise after the game.

Who would be our best choice for NT?
Who do you see as the most likely replacement for Justin Smith in this group? Is there anyone even close?
Depends if the team is willing and able to re-sign Sopoaga this offseason. It will determine much on the path the Niners take in the draft.

Eager to see how he performs. Many of these Tennessee school WR's have a chance to move way up the board.

I'd be surprised if he is not a first rounder. He was sensational during Senior Bowl practices. Great feet, physical, the total package. Fiesty. Everything you want in a corner

A pretty good trio of players.

I was really hoping that Jesse Williams or Floyd would fall to the Niners but it seems unlikely. Williams probably is the better chance

I think the Niners should take a page from the Patriots book and trade down from their 1st for extra value. If they could get two 2nd rounders, plus extra picks this year and/or next year, they could probably still get the same players I'm hoping they'll target. Plus, if they got extra picks this year, they could use the extra ammo to move up from their late 2nd and get a higher rated player that fell out of the 1st.
I think this year will have a ton of "skilled position" players: QBs, RBs, WRs, CBs.

They are going to love him or be weirded out. How he handles the 15 minutes of hell from 32 teams and the media will be huge. I just dont see him as a first rounder.

Sheldon Richardson won't stray too far from the top ten, it would've been nice to have three Missouri guys on the front line.

Good luck, MD.
Worst news of all. I will believe it when I see it.

Originally posted by RollinWith21n52:MD, surprised you still see Brandon Williams so low. With the week he had at the SR. Bowl, plus his size and the position he plays, you don't think he'll be in higher demand? Especially with NO (and possibly ATL switching to a 3-4), Indy new to the system, SF and PIT needing a new NT, and SD, WA, and a few others needing an upgrade at the position.
Surely could go higher. Here is what I saw this week. Smooth guy for someone so big. Dominated certain players, such as Brian Winters. But mixed on other matchups. Could end up mid second rounder. I just think he goes a little lower at this point.

Things will be very fluid after the combine and campus workouts. I think the world of Jones as a college player. I suspect that teams will see little upside in his potential, feeling he has already reached his ceiling. Once again, just a hunch. Hunter could be a first through fourth rounder. Wild card for sure.
