I think we are pretty deep on the DL. Of course our backups are considered question marks when our starters play %90 of the game. I feel perfectly comfortable that there won't be a drop off when Ricky Jean or Tukuafu come onto the field.

I agree completely, DL isn't our biggest need but I do think we will draft a DE or DT just for more depth on the DL. The team could really do anything with the 30th pick, thats what makes this draft so intresting.

DE/DT is a need; DT/NT is not. I would love someone like Devon Still at #30, or Jared Crick at #61.

I don't think a 3-4 DE is a need the next year or two but picking at the end of the 1st round always seems like the best place in the draft to try to pick one up. This year is loaded with DL talent and it should be one of the players the Niners look at with the 30th pick.

They are not familiar with the niners. I like the promise fo Dobbs. So right now I don't think it is a priority. OL as of right now is a priority because we need someone whe can back up the center and guard. Kilgore is penciled in as the starter, but if Goodwin goes down thenhe will have to slide over. I do see niners doing a BPA, since they have been bringing in RG FA to check before the draft but not sign them.

Watch this highlight package of Wolfe and you immediately think of Justin Smith.......
Reyes wouldn't be bad either.

Even if we're high on Dobbs, I'm not comfortable with having an UDFA as the back-up to the best DE in the game.

The team has little in the way of NEEDS as in all caps have to have a new one, nobody there that can play needs. Gaurd and reciever are maybe the only needs in the draft and of those gaurd is the only one that is really too thin. Now if we are talking building for the future, securing a pipeline of talent so we do not have to rebuild in a couple of years..We need D-line, Interior O-line, WR, RB, OLB, CB ...the list goes on and on. Thats why so many are just saying BPA every round, with maybe one targeted pick at Gaurd in the second or third round. The starters are set...we now need to start working on future player development, and let the cream rise to the top.

i agree, ours needs is really depth. and RJF and tukafu(sp?) havent played much so not sure what the talent is. i also think soap's contract is running out, so picking a good dline player wouldnt be a bad idea.
