Why Sanu so high? #3? I thought he was just a poor mans Crabtree (not in a good way). All I want to know is can he get open and catch and run good routes? The heck with height and 40 time.

He is a physical receiver who has great hands. He is also a guy who doesn't mind doing the dirty work. He will run the Wildcat, return punts, and as stated earlier, block, block, block. Finally, he already has an NFL body. Some of the early entry guys look pretty rail thin, but Sanu has that Dwayne Bowe look to him.
In fact, I think he is a Dwayne Bowe clone, minus the attitude.

Mayock expressed issues over Sanu's ability to separate, what do you see?

Where do you project him to go? I wouldn't mind taking a flier on him if he falls to the Niners in the 2nd. He'd be great value in the 3rd.

Sanu is much much more raw than Bowe was. Bowe was a lot more accomplished in college, although I do think that ultimately, Sanu has a higher ceiling. Physically they're very similar, both are 6-2....stout bodies....215+ plus, physical receivers, both should run around the same range....Bowe ran about a 4.5, Sanu should be somewhere around there as well.
The big difference to me is that Bowe came out as a senior, he went to the Senior Bowl and absolutely wreaked havoc and caught a lot of attention because of it, he moved way up the list in terms of the draft, so he showed he could get it done against other near-pro competition. Sanu's still somewhat of a wild-card, a very impressive one, but we'll know more after the Combine.

LOL.....you're dreaming. Unless he s**ts the bed at the combines, Sanu will probably get picked before the 49ers draft in the 1st, and if he is still around, he wouldn't make it past the first 10 picks of the 2nd round.
IMO he's the perfect #2 WR for Houston to play opposite Andre Johnson.

if reports are true im back on the alshon jeffery bandwagon
he has larry fitz type of ceiling
long arms
great hands
great body control
good conventration
strong hands who will catch the ball at highest point
doesnt catch with his body
if he lost the weight he is already naturally quick and has proven he was a deep threat in sophmore year
all he has to do now is improve his route running

That report no doubt came from his agent (paid by Jeffery) or his trainer (paid by agent). As for the time, he can "hope" to run 4.0; hope doesn't mean anything tangible. I hope that I lose 20 pounds of body fat in my sleep tonight and replace it with 15 pounds of muscle and 5 pounds of wang. I'll keep you posted

it came from a guy on scout.com
and why would the trainer lie?
he would lose all credibility and clients which extends to the mlb and nba as well

You mean that after he gets paid a s**tload of money he'll be even more motivated to keep the weight off?
