Exactly... compare THAT to Pryor. Pryor called long plays, was great on the blackboard, etc. Yet we are talking 4 round disparity.

Just based on attitude and how they carry themselves, I like Pryor more than Newton.

Newton always seems like he's selling himself.

I'm curious to see what team gives Pryor a shot. Bengals?

I have an odd feeling he could go to the Colts.
I'll say the Dolphins

Indianapolis is a team I said pages back that would be wise to submit a bid for him. Perfect situation.

Cincy drafted Dalton so I don't think they will part with a higher pick but might show interest in the 4th/5th round range.

Miami, Buffalo, Oakland, Washington, Arizona and Seattle would all be likely teams to have some degree of interest.

Cleveland, Dallas, Kansas City & Philadelphia are all in my darkhorse category to surprisingly submit an early bid.

To play receiver?

Philly, NO would be a pretty good spot for Pryor, I'm not buying that he could take over Indy. Tom Moore is on the verge of retiring, and you just can't duplicate what Peyton does. If Indy takes him I guarantee it'll be one of the biggest flops in the history of the NFL. You take Peyton off that team, you have horrible line, horrible running backs. It's all on the qb to get the job done.

Cam talks like "Steamin" Willie Beamon in that Gruden video.

"I like a gun... "

He's going to be so overwhelmed in Carolina. Maybe they're going to run a similar offense to what he ran in college. Stewart and Cam would make a nice rushing attack, but they're passing game is going to STRUGGLE! They thought it was bad in Carolina last season? They haven't seen anything yet.

On a side note: Good for Cam. He played hard in college and sold himself as something he wasn't. He got the big contract and took care of himself. I think people are going to look back and compare him to the great busts though (Jamarcus-like bust). For his sake, hopefully I'm wrong.

Carolina really should've drafted AJ Green #1 overall and then draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. If they want Cam to succeed then they really should start Clausen this year. It's not like they're competing for a super bowl or anything. Let Cam sit for a few seasons cause there's no question he has talent but he doesn't have that NFL talent yet.

I'm really curious to see Cam's contract after this new CBA takes effect. It won't be nearly as much as what the previous #1 overall picks have received!

True but Cam really shouldn't have gone as high as he did either... also Cam went undefeated in the SEC, Pryor struggled at times in the big ten... but neither are gonna lead a team to success in the NFL IMO. But I imagine Pryor can have a longer career as a backup.
NFL exec questions Pryor's leadership - PFT
Georgia RB Caleb King also entering supp draft.

newton will fail spectacularly. a #1 overall pick is expected to carry a team to super bowl contention. newton is a dumb guy (for a qb), and judging from his academic career, he isn't very studious, and will never have the command of the position that will win playoff games. he will make mistakes and miss opportunities because he can't master the position.
both him and pryor are NOT naturally elite passers, and elite passers win in the post-season. these guys are just good-looking athletes, and people get beer-goggles for this kind of thing. it's wrong; just pay attention to how they project to take over games
with their arms and field generalship. that is what really counts--and not if you can hang with taylor mays, shirtless.
