And if so would it be smarter to move Staley to the right side and put Bulaga on the left? I haven't really watched Bulaga but could he be a dominant tackle in the NFL? I get the feeling Staley is average at best. Your thoughts?

If Bulaga is drafted by the 49ers and he can play LT in the NFL, then he will be more valuable to the 49ers. With that said, I think Staley has the LT position locked up going into the season, baring any injuries.
Several posters have said they like Bulaga because he will be able to play LT at the next level.
Staley is a solid LT, I wouldn't say that he was average.

IMO baluga would be the better LT but staley is solid I'd rather keep staley at LT for a while before they switch

The team is surely going to select a player who can play on both end of the LOS, and I say, "Let the best man win".
The Ravens are going through the same question right now with Oher and Gaither.
Staley is a nice player, but not a dominant player. So, if someone can play at a higher level, then I have no problem moving Staley to RT.

They'll play Bulaga at RT grooming him to protect Nate Davis' blindside:)

Right now? Not even close. Bulaga is a junior coming out of college, Staley is heading into his fourth year in the league and his third as a left tackle. Staley is a great fit at left tackle due to his athleticism. Bulaga could be better than Staley in two or three years but any tackle drafted by the 49ers this year will start at right tackle if they start.

Yeah, I'd love a potential Bugala to LT, Staley to RT situation if we did draft him. I think Bulaga maybe a better pass blocker than Staley.

Nate Davis doesn't throw with his left or right hand, he simply thinks the ball into the receiver's hands.

THANK YOU!!!
not only that, but i think our entire OL would be best served by keeping
staley / baas / heitmann in place for continuity's sake and deal with the right side.
draft ROT, let snyder and rachal battle for RG and even bring in a possible
3rd/4th round guard for competition and with baas' looming FA in mind.
