He's still very effective as a pass rusher. This stinks. They lose Clemons and upgrade with Allen.

While we lose Brown and get Chris Cook. Baalke better not cock this draft up.

Yep, he's good but they don't have anyone as good as Aldon, who is younger and should be fully focused this season.
It's going to be very close, I don't think anyone is running away with the division barring a catastrophic injury. We still have to save money to re-sign Wilson, Sherm and Thomas, so this will have been done with that in mind.

ESPN radio says 2 year deal.

That's not the point dude, the fact they have 3 and even 4 with Irving they can rotate and with that crowd noise is the problem. No doubt I'll take aldon over all them, I just hope lemonier steps up big time and we hit big with carradine.
Lets wait for the terms before getting too angry. If it is a 3 year deal worth like 30 million then I would be happy they signed him because they will probably lose someone else. If its a 1 or a 2 year deal, then yeah they just got better without any loss.

And hope that our OL makes huge improvement in pass protection.
I just need to remind myself that the FO is one of the best in the business and hasn't given me any reason to doubt them. And signing big name FA's is not their thing...that being said it's pretty disheartening to see SEA once again being aggressive and making a move for another impact player this year, meanwhile the Niners are just sitting pat. i don't know, a little frustrated.

Exactly, I'm not holding my breath on that happening either.

If they somehow manage to be able to sign these players and yet lock up Wilson, Sherman and Thomas who both of them should be the highest paid at their positions I'm gonna be irate. They won the sb already while we haven't and yet they attack FA and even gave harvin insane money. Can't forget bobby Wagner who should get paid soon as well, how is it they get players signing 1-2 year contracts while we can't?

Yeah, i feel that SEA is more than willing to offer out these 1-2 year deals for decent money, but the Niners are not. I am not a cap guy, so i have no idea if the Niners could even do the same thing, but from what i am seeing with their cap situation, you would think they would be able to do the same. All i know is they better hit this draft out of the park and the class from last year better pan out. I have been very patient, but 3 years with arguably the most talented team in football and no titles to show for it is starting to piss me off.

They've still got to pay Wilson big money coming up as soon as next year. And then they don't really pay much of anyone on the offensive line or at the skill positions other than Lynch. Other than that, the cap wall will be hitting them hard in a year or two.

I know, I'm just trying to rationalize it a bit lol, it's not a good thing that's for sure. I mean, they lost some big bodies along that d-line but their pass rush, which was pretty good already has improved with one of the better situational pass rushers in the league. Our d-line doesn't play against theirs though, our O-line was inconsistent at best last season, Kap also has to get rid of the ball a little quicker at times. I still think our O-line is a better unit than theirs and our front 7 as good as any in the league. Obviously, their secondary is better but they have some losses there as well. Simply put, they can sign every big named defensive free agent, Kap has to step up and beat these guys. With Gore getting older, this team will go as far as the QB takes them, the D will continue to be one of the best units in the NFL.
jared allens deal is not final, hes gone back home to discuss things and will make a decision on the weekend.
